Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Riverbend Solana Beach Concrete website and any estimate or work you ask us for. By using the site, calling us or booking a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work through it.

Any job we take on is also covered by its own written estimate or contract. If that document and these terms say different things, the written estimate or contract for your job wins.

What we do

Riverbend Solana Beach Concrete is a concrete contractor in Solana Beach, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, pool decks, garage floors, slabs, footings and foundations, and we do decorative work, retaining walls and concrete cutting. You can see the full list of services on our home page and read more about how we work on our About page.

What's on the website is general information to help you understand the work. It isn't a promise about your job, because every slab depends on the ground it sits on, the way water runs across your lot and the choices you make with us. The details of your project are set in your written estimate.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, and there's no pressure to book. Your estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, like the size of the area, the condition of any old concrete, access for our crew and the finish you pick.

Some things only show up once the old slab is out and the ground is open, such as soft or wet soil under it, roots or buried debris. If that changes the work or the price, we'll stop and explain it before going further, and we won't do the extra work until you approve the change in writing.

Material and labor costs move, so an estimate holds for the time written on it. If you book after that, we may need to update it.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule your pour date when you book, and we'll do our best to keep it. Concrete is weather work, so rain, high heat or wind can push a pour back, because pouring in the wrong conditions leaves a weaker slab. If that happens, we'll call you and set a new date as soon as we can.

If you need to cancel or move your job, please call us at (619) 724-4874 as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials or set up forms for you, your written contract says what you owe for that work.

Payment

Your written contract sets out the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Any deposit or progress payment follows California law for home improvement work.

Final payment is due when the work in your contract is done, even if the concrete is still curing, which is the waiting period while it gains strength. If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's settled, and we'll tell you first.

Your part after the pour

New concrete needs time before it takes weight, so we'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it. Using the slab early, or skipping the care steps we give you, can damage it, and that damage isn't something we can cover.

Please keep kids, pets and vehicles off fresh work, and tell us about sprinklers, drains or anything else on your property that could send water onto the new slab.

Warranty and cracks

Any warranty on your job is the one written in your contract. Outside of that, and to the extent California law allows, we don't make other promises about the work or about anything on this website.

Concrete can crack even when it's built right. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, and we prepare the base so the slab doesn't settle with the dirt. Small hairline cracks are normal and aren't a defect. Damage from ground movement, tree roots, heavy loads the slab wasn't built for, outside work by others or not following our care steps isn't covered.

Limits on our liability

We work to keep the information on this site accurate, but it can change and may not fit your situation, so please don't rely on it in place of an estimate for your job.

To the extent California law allows, Riverbend Solana Beach Concrete isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your driveway or lost time, that come from using this website or from delays outside our control. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under California law that can't be waived.

If there's a problem

If something about your job isn't right, call us first. Most problems get fixed fastest when we come out, look at it with you and talk it through.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation before going to court, unless the claim belongs in small claims court. Any court case will be heard in San Diego County, California.

Which law applies

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a job already covered by a signed contract.

If you have a question about these terms, call us at (619) 724-4874 or reach us through our Contact page.
